History

Barabazar Development Block under Purulia district being a backward region, there have been several attempts from the part of the Govt. of West Bengal to solve the various social and economical problems of the people there. And the establishment of N.I.G.S., a public English medium school, is one of the successful attempts falling in the above category. There was no English medium school till now and the aspirations of thousands of students had remained a dream only. With the establishment of N.I.G.S. that dream, at least for some of them, is going to be fulfilled.
