My name is Suvankar Roy. I am the Teacher-in-charge of Deara Free Primary School of Madhyamgram circle. My school is under North 24 Parganas D.P.S.C (District Primary School Council).
The school is situated in Deara village of Rohanda- Chandigarh panchayet under Madhyamgram Police Station. The school was established in 1932 during pre independence era.
Besides me, 3 more assistant teachers are also there in my school. They mostly involve themselves in academic part and I take care the administrative part of the school .
Total 5 rooms are there in our school . 2 rooms are on first floor and 3 rooms are on ground floor. Our school also has 1 kitchen room, 1 attached bathroom , 2 tube wells and 1 playground. Full electrification of the school is done in 2015.
In our school, most of the students are Muslim ,only few are Hindu. They mostly comes from very poor family.
Most of students of this school are first generation learner. For this reason, we have to face difficulties to teach them properly as they lack adequate educational atmosphere to study in their home. Due to their poor economic situation of families, some leave the school for jobs and some for early marriages.
But despite all of these problems, we presently running our school with 60 students. We are continuously trying to give better education to our children and will continue to do so in future also.
