In the year 1970 , the people of the village of Jashaikati, those who were mainly farmers shpwed the urge to enlighten their children through education. The entire community of the area felt the need of an Educational Institution for their childrens’ educational development and upliftment. That need and requirement gave birth to this Institution. Even that would not be possible, if those true-hearted and broad-minded farmers like would not come ahead and donate their land to set up a Co-Ed School. It was the 5th January of 1970, when our Institution started its great journey and by the years became one of the leading Bengali medium Institutions at Basirhat Sub-Division in the state of West Bengal.

At the beginning, the WBBSE recognised and affiliated the Institution as a Jr. High School  (Memo No. 349/Jr. dt. 12.8.71) but in the year 2000  the Institution was upgraded into a High School (Memo No. S/Recog/2000/122(A) dt. 9.5.2000). In 2010, the Institution was further upgraded into a Higher Secondary School (Memo No. DA(A) SD/148/ Recog/10 dt. 05.08.2010) with Arts and Science stream. Later on, the Institution has been continuing its long journey step by step with success and repute.

Being an unseparated part of the Institution, the teachers, the non-teaching staffs, the members of the Managing Committee and of course the students never fail in their endeavour to uphold the prestige of the Institution.

The atmosphere in which our Institution is situated is very pleasant. It has three rows of buildings. Besides classrooms, there are Teachers’ Common-room, Office-room, Science Laboratory, Library, Digital Class-Rooms, Computer-room, and a large Hall-room, Online Admission system,Online Tabulation system, Online Result Publication,SMS based notification,QR Code incorporated Progress Report & Student Identity Card etc.Netaji’s Birthday, the Republic Day, the Saraswati Puja, Rabindra Jayanti, Nazrul Jayanti, the Teacher’s Day, the Children’s Day are observed with high respect and regard. Various competitions on drawing, writing, recitation, debate etc. and games and sports are held in every year with much enthusiasm.

Presently, the Institution provides fairly a large number of students (approx. 900) with the chance to study about every subject precisely with affection by the highly experienced teachers. All the students from V to X avail the chance to study computer.

The students of this Institution show brilliant performance not only in annual examinations but in various competitive exams. Many students from this Institution have occupied glorious position with high acclaim in various fields. Even the students with special needs (CWSN) from this Institution have shown their guts in games and sports in National and International level.

It will not be an exaggeration to say that the Institution is now able to come forward a long way to fulfill the need and requirement of knowledge and education of the children of the locality but there is yet another long way to go to attain goal.
