I, HM of Dhanyakuria Girls’ High School, welcome you to our website on behalf of every teaching and non-teaching staffs of our school. We are very much pleased with the decision taken by School Education Department that each school should have their own website. I took charge as Headmistress in 2004 and since then, I have been associated with every ups and downs of the school with my whole heart.

Though the school was registered under Govt. of West Bengal in 1969, it was operated only as a Junior Girls’ High School and didn’t have basic amenities like electricity, proper toilet etc. until I joined and turned it into a High School in 2005. The situation of the school made me restless as this was the only institution for Girls’ education in the surrounding area. Eventually, I tried to develop the school in every possible way and needless to say, faced various obstacles. The school was upgraded to higher secondary in 2014 and also Vocational streams are going on of VIII+ since 2008. All this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our well-wisher managing committee, highly efficient teachers and dedicated staffs.

From computer classes to purified water supply, well equipped classrooms, CCTV for surveillance, medical support, Karate classes for girls as per govt. guidelines – now we have everything, but at the same time we thrive for excellence in providing holistic care to our students. It gives me immense pleasure to announce that we have won ‘Nirmal Vidyalaya’ award in 2018 for scoring highest within the district in cleanliness and other aspects. We are proud of our academic (which is one of the best within the subdivision) as well as co-curricular achievements of our students.

Since the school is part of the society, we always work in collaboration with guardians of our students, local authorities, Govt. representative as well as administrator, local residents and other members of the community. We believe in communal harmony and our aim is to offer our students best education while ensuring they stay connected to their culture. At our school, we are committed to provide a safe, caring and nurturing learning environment for every student with a wide range of activities to learn and grow. We are also bound to help all our students become productive and responsible members of the community by creating a sensible environment that fosters social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. Last but not the least, we try to develop self-confidence in our students, so that they earn success and recognition in every field wherever they go in their future.
