Hon'ble social worker late Azaruddin Gain Mahasaya established Joygram Proper Free Primary School on 21st January 1963 by donating his ancestral property.
The first acting headmaster of the school was the late Bibhutibhushan Das.
Through his efforts and with the help of the villagers and the efforts of Azaruddin Gain Mahasaya's family, teaching started with a small number of students.
In the first stage, the school used bamboo by making poles and by pitching a bichuli on it. Later, with the help of the villagers and with the financial support of the government, it has been possible to set up a two-storey four-room school room
