I would like to begin this report paying my homage to those enthusiastic educationists of this area who had sown a seed in the soil of Talpukur Keshetramohan Memorial School long back in 1961 which has now bloomed into Talpukur Kshetramohan Memorial High School (HS). Though most of our students are from merginalised and minority family and more so are first generation learners, we have achieved a success rate of nearly 95% in the MP exam and nearly 100% in the HS Examination in last few years . For this I would like to convey my heartiest thanks to my colleagues who have toiled hard to achieve this success.
With the help of government aid and active participation of our librarian and a few other teachers we have developed a good library in our school which has generated enthusiasm towards books among the students and also generated , at least among a few, a reading habit .
With the assistance of local M.P. and M.L.A fund and also the Capital Grant of the govt. we have built two additional class rooms which will help us to fulfil our dream of opening the HS Commerce and Science sections in future .
Besides the formal educational activities we are also trying to develop skills of various art and cultural activities like drawing , singing , production of drama etc among the students which, we believe, will develop their openness of mind and also bring out leadership qualities in them . Our students are also doing exceedingly well in different sports activities.
With limited resources we have started teaching Computer Application as a subject in the HS level with the help of a part time teacher.
Most of all it is impossible to materialize any dream without proper discipline. So, everyone linked with this school is trying their best to develop proper discipline and a positive out look among the students. We are confident to achieve our goal some day with the help and good wishes of everyone.
