Admission Rules and Procedures for Class XI
The Institution has two streams in Higher Secondary Section i.e., Science & Commerce. Intake capacity for Science Stream is 100 & for Commerce stream is 60 . 90% seat of the each stream will be fulfilled by those students, who have appeared and passed Madhyamik Pariksha from Sodepur High School, Sodepur, Kolkata – 700110. Rest 10% seats of each stream may be full filled by the eligible candidates passed from other than Sodepur High School. In Science Stream besides Language subjects (Bengali as First Language & English as Second Language) there are seven elective subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Computer Science and Computer Application).
Students have to choose four elective subjects as per following combination.
1. PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATH, BIOLOGY
2. PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATH, STATISTICS
3. PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATH, COMPUTER SCIENCE
4. PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATH, COMPUTER APPLICATION
Besides Language subjects (Bengali as First Language & English as Second Language), there are only one combination for Commerce Stream i.e.
ACCOUNTANCY, BUSINESS STUDIES, COSTING & TAXATION, COMPUTER APPLICATION
The allotted seats for each subject combination are as follows: For Science Stream

3. PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATH, COMPUTER SCIENCE 15

For Commerce Stream
5. ACCOUNTANCY, BUSINESS STUDIES, COSTING & TAXATION, COMPUTER APPLICATION 60
Total no. of seats in Commerce stream - 60
Reservation for Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Others Backward Category (OBC-A & OBC-B) and Physically Challenged will be strictly followed by the institution in the admission procedure. Reservation of Selection will be as per Govt. Rule.
a) Schedule Caste 22%

c) OBC (A) Muslims 10%
d) OBC (B) Hindu 7%
e) Physically Challenged 3%
In case of non- availability of eligible ST students the reservation goes to the SC category. And non-availability of SC, OBC(A & B) and Physically Challenged candidates the reservation (no of seats) will be opened for General Category with the prior permission of the Management Committee & D.I (S.E) of Schools.
SELECTION CRITERIA / PROCEDURE Selection in each category (Streamwise, Subject Combination wise & Reservation for SC, ST, OBC & PH ) will be done as per marks obtained in Madhyamik Pariksha .

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FILLING –UP THE FORM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FILLING –UP THE FORM
For Students of Sodepur High School
1. Students of Sodepur High School (H.S) who have secured minimum 75% marks in aggregate and also minimum 80% marks in each Mathematics, Physical Science and Life Science will be eligible as applicant for Science Stream.
2. Students of Sodepur High School (H.S) who have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate and also minimum 50% marks in Mathematics will be eligible as applicant for Commerce Stream.
For Students Other than Sodepur High School
1. Students who have secured minimum 80% marks in aggregate and also minimum 85% marks in each Mathematics, Physical Science and Life Science will be eligible as applicant for Science Stream.
2. Students who have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate and also minimum 50% marks in Mathematics will be eligible as applicant for Commerce Stream.
Relaxation of 5% marks in each category for Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe Students
Form fill-up procedure for Admission to Class - XI
1. Go to URL : www.sodepurhighschool.in
2. Click on Admission for Class -XI
3. Carefully choose your “SUBJECT COMBINATION” given in drop-down manner in the portal.
4. Fill all fields of the admission form in ‘CAPITAL LETTER’.
5. Spelling of Name of the Student, Name of the Father, Name of the Mother and the Date of Birth must be as per Birth Certificate.& as per Admit Card of Madhymik Pariksha
6. Student belonging to SC, ST, OBC, should have own caste or category certificate, otherwise the student may be treated as a child of general category.
7. In case of BPL, the original BPL card of Father/ Mother (in absence of father) must be produced at the time of admission
8. Student with special need (CWSN) must have CWSN/PH certificate.
9.Student of SC, ST, OBC, CWSN & BPL should open a savings bank A/C in any Nationalized Bank prior to filling the form. (it requires a photo pasted certificate of the Headmaster of Sodepur High School (Primary Section).
10. Fill properly the Name of the Bank, Branch name, A/C no., IFSC given in the on-line form, it is mandatory for SC,ST,OBC,BPL & CWSN boys.
11. Carefully fill the Roll No. of Madhyamik Pariksha and Marks obtained in different subject in Madhyamik Pariksha (it is very important, as the admission list will be prepare subject combination wise & as per given criteria. For any false statement, submitted form will be cancelled by the school authority)
12. After filling the complete form check again & again before submission.
13. Now click the “SUBMIT” button to submit the form. After submission, Please collect the hard copy of the form along with a money challan (as price of the form) in pdf manner.
14. Submit the school copy of money Challan to the office of the institution (After submission the challan the specific form will be valid) on specific date & time given in the Admission Notice.
15. List of Admission and date of Admission will be published in www.sodepurhighschool.in as per criteria.
16. At the time of Admission, carry only necessary papers(Original & Xerox copy of Birth Certificate., SC, ST, OBC, CWSN & BPL Certificate & necessary papers of Bank SB A/C along with original Transfer Certificate) along with a colored passport size photograph of the student.

INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING ON-LINE FILL UP OF ADMISSION FORM FOR DIRECT ADMISSION [ AS PER R.T.E ACT 2009] TO CLASS-V
(ONLY FOR THOSE REGISTERED STUDENTS OF CLASS –IV OF PREVIOUS SESSION OF SODEPUR HIGH SCHOOL (PRIMARY) SITUATED IN THE SAME PREMISES)
1. Go to URL : www.sodepurhighschool.in
2. Click on Admission to Class -V
3. Carefully select the Section & Roll number (of Class –IV of Sodepur High School, Primary Section of previos session) of your child given in drop-down manner in the portal.
4. Fill all fields of the admission form in ‘CAPITAL LETTER’.
