From the Head Of Institution Desk

A school can be defined as an institution for the education of children, but to a student it can be much more. Schools can serve as sanctuaries. It can be where children first truly experience the world, and where they learn about morals, and about what is right and wrong. It is where a child is shaped into the person they become. It is a lifelong home for the students that learn and live there.

The father of our great nation, Mahatma Gandhi once said, “By education, I mean an all-around drawing of the best in child and man in body, mind and spirit.” It is this very idea that is given life to in Betten Higher Secondary School. Education given here is not just of an academic, but of a holistic nature. Students learn not only about Chemistry or Mathematics but they also learn about the importance of moral values.

The school was established in 1954 with the school motto “Progress comes through discipline”. We offer various types of extracurricular activities. These activities in combination with the fervent efforts of our teaching staff provides for a very well rounded of development of our children. We believe that a strong moral base is as important as a strong academic base. This encourages our students to grow into intelligent, but also morally upright people. This strong moral base allows our students to be good people who can have a positive impact in our society.

Since its inception, the school has been of great importance in the  society, and has successfully provided a sound and holistic education to students of all backgrounds. It continues to produce strong and intelligent men and women who are of great importance to our world. It is a great privilege to be the Headmaster of this school, and to continue to improve our society through it.
