Jinglam Uday Higher Secondary School, was established in the year 1968 and was run by the local committee for 12 years before it was recognised by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education as Junior High School (VIII) in the year 1980. Subsequently, it was updated as High School in the year 1982 and then as H.S in 2012. The old building was turned to ashes during the Gorkhaland agitation of 1986, when some antisocial activists burnt the building to fire. Since then the school is running with a delipidated condition of the building. Even though the school has performed its best result in both M.P and H.S. Exam. In this H.S section the school is running humanities stream and from this new session the school is running science stream also with the approval of W.B.C.H.S Education. All teachers are sincere, punctual and hard workers. They all think duty is god.
