Hatserandi Jr. High was set up in the year 1954. The School is recognised as a X-Class High School by West Bengal Board of Secondary School w.e.f.01.01.1963and it is upgraded to a Higher Secondary School with Arts stream by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education w.e.f.28.06.2013.It is located in the village Hatserandi which is under Nanoor Block(Subdivision-Bolpur) of Birbhum District in West Bengal.Now it is a Govt. Sponsored School. Upper primary section of the School is only for Boys and the Secondary and Higher Secondary section are coeducational.Bengali is the medium of instruction.Maximum number of students of the School come from BPL and middle class family of SC/ST/OBC community.Major portion of them are first generation learner.
