Established in 1952, Bolpur NNB High School is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in West Bengal. The school was first recognized as a Govt-Aided school on 23.03.1965 (Vide Memo No-3623/G). The name of the school was glamourised by student like Subhasis Das (4th Rank in IIT in 2007 and Sarthak Rudra (5th Rank all over West Bengal in Higher Secondary Examination in 2011). The institute is high esteem in the field of games and sports as well winning several cups and tournaments at the state level too. Our students made us proud by making the school champion at the Youth Parliament. Our school team finished as runners-up (losing in a neck-to-neck competition to Jodhpur Park Boy’s School) in the quiz competition organized by Sarva Shiksha Mission at the state level a few years back. Dr. Proloy Nayak, an ex-student of this school, is now the President of Birbhum District Primary School Council. Several teachers of this school serve as DRP’s and KRP’s of various Govt. Training Projects conducted by the Department of School Education. Keeping in mind the socio-economic condition of the students of this school, the performance of this institution at the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary levels is enviable.
