The headteacher has high expectations of pupils and staff. As a result pupils’ outcomes, and the quality of teaching, are good. pupils make good progress in reading, writing, mathematics, and a wide range of other subjects. Pupils enjoy their learning. Interesting tasks, both indoors and outdoors, enable pupils to be creative when solving problems. Pupil's attitudes to learning are good and they are keen to learn. Pupils manage their conduct well both inside and outside the classroom. We place great emphasis on ensuring that pupils get the best possible start to their school life.

The school makes every effort to link itself with its immediate community and has close contact with the local authority and other organizations related to social and educational purposes.We are lucky to have parents who are keen to support us with issues such as school uniform policy, behavior policy, and educational visits. Their presence is always valued. Some parents volunteer in school whilst all support us by attending consultation evenings, productions, and sporting events.
School’s Governing Body is led by village education committee members who have a good understanding of what is required for a school to be successful.
