Anantapur  Siddheswari  High School ( H.S.) is  one of the oldest Schools in Howrah  District . It is situated in calm and quiet place in rural area.  It is surrounded with green leaves that one must be attracted . A  great history lies behind the establishment of the school . Some members of the  Manna – Mallick – Mondal  families who had true  love in education , came forward and established the school  named ,  -  Anantapur  Siddheswari  Bahumukhi High School  at the village , Antilapara in the lap of river Rupnarayana  to eradicate  the illiteracy of the back –ward class area in 1944 when the Indians  were struggling for freedom all over India . The school was gradually developed day- by -day with help of Govt.  and with the help of then famous  Mill,  Anantapur  Siddheswari  Cotton Pvt. Ltd  and Anantapur Siddheswari textile  Pvt. Ltd .  Latter  the school was shifted to Anantapur  village by changing  its name – Anantapur  Siddheswari  High School . With the consideration of  increased  students  and performances , the Govt.  gave us permission to open H.S. section . The school  was upgraded to Higher Secondary school in 1998 . The STVT and Rabindra Mukta  vidyalaya the two - wings  are also attached to our school .
