The schools are the gardens of the nation from where the nation harvests the crops of good and able citizens. Swami Vivekananda considered “Education as an effort at manifesting the Divine Potential inherent in a human being” while Mahatma Gandhi “Education is the complete development of a person”. Having in mind these great thoughts, expectations and spirituality of the National heroes, we, at Loreto St. Mary’s Girls’ High School, 1, Convent Lane, Kolkata – 700 015nhave educated into creative and innovative ways of empowering the students to face the present situation of the society. Our students are nurtured to grow and inculcate the values that can help them to avail chances for self-development and self-expression through the diverse activities of the school. We are working diligently and selflessly, inspired and motivated by the “Fidelity, Love, Hope and Service”

The simple living and high thinking of a warm and affectionate staff, the family spirit that prevails in the management , the students, parents and wider community make me feel great and give me even more zest and energy to make things happen in the lives of individuals. It is through hard toil that this institution has been able to impart sound, solid education and an all round development of young minds of all castes and creeds, empowering them with skills, knowledge and spiritual strength to face the challenges of this fast changing modern, global world.

I take this opportunity to thank all our staff and sisters who have given their best, who have toiled with love, loyalty and dedication towards the education of our students.
