From the Head Of Institution Desk

Tirthapati Institution which was established way back in the year 1932 boasts of a rich heritage. It makes all of us proud for being associated with this educational institution that had and is still contributing to our society in its own inimitable way. The Institution has been successful in upholding its age-old glory, power and prestige down the past eight decades and more. It has been possible because of the concerted effort of our extremely experienced and dedicated teaching staff, an equally efficient group of office staff, group-D employees, our beloved students and their equally responsible guardians. There is no exaggeration about the fact that even in present times when it is a very sorry and sad scenario to see so many Bengali medium schools suffering from acute shortage of student strength and are literally on the verge of extinction, our school has been successful enough to uphold the power and prestige. It is undoubtedly one school I n the southern part of Kolkata where there is no death of students. The reason is obvious. The school caters to the needs of the students as best as possible by not only imparting them education feet also helping them to instill and imbibe moral and ethical values of life which is very essential for an all-round development of a child. We always see to it that our students can see beyond their classrooms. There has been adequate arrangements for the holistic development of a child by encouraging him in sports, extra curricular activities like dramatics, recitation, debate, act and craft, science & technological projects etc. we have state of the art computer laboratory where each student got an access to the machine individually under the able guidance of expert teachers. Besides our students are always encouraged to participate in all kinds of social awareness programmes like – Tree plantation, safe drive - save life, blood donation camps, Adult literacy programme as and when organised by the State Education Board. Modernisation in the infrastructure of the classrooms are also in process of and many such plans are also in the pipe line. Active participation of the students and co-operation of the respective guardians will help us to realise our dreams to maintain and uphold the legacy of this heritage institution.
