Lalturam High School (H.S.) is situated in the remotest village namely Jaldapara of Alipurduar District and it is in the lap of Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary. It is 42 km away from Alipurduar District Town. The School is a Bengali Medium Co-educational institute.

Since 1981 the School was running as organising one. Some local enthusiastic persons interested in education feel the necessity of spreading education among the downtrodden and backward classes of this area and henceforth they setup the School.

However after a long battle by them the School was recognised as a New Setup Junior High School in the year 2000 and then within a brief span of time in the year 2005 the School was upgraded as a High School and in year 2010 the School was upgraded as Higher Secondary School. The School is affiliated to WBBSE and WBCHSE. In the year 2015 the School was recognised as a Govt. Sponsored School. Approved subjects at Higher Secondary Section are Bengali,English,History, Geography,Education, Political Science,Philosophy and Sanskrit and only Arts subjects in H.S. level are taught here.

Though infrastructure of the school is not upto the best level and yet we have shortage of Teachers, we are imparting best education.Whole hearted co-operation of the Guardians and local people and Managing Committee for the welbeing of the School is really praise worthy.
