History

Going backs to the establishment and achievement of school. It was around the early years of fifties residence of Lower Soureni Busty, Sadhu Goan established a hatch one room  school on an vacant land near about Ghumaunetar. Here the volunteer teachers started teaching. The beneficiary committee was set up and the process of government recognition started. On the year 1957, the school was recognised as Junior Basic School, Mr. P.S. Rai residence of Manju Lepcha Villa was nominated as the first Headmaster of the school. The school started with around 70 students from the surrounding localities . Mr.P.S. Rai was then followed by Mrs Sushila Sampang, Mr A.J.Rai as school head. After the sudden demese of Mr. Pradeep Rai I Maniram Khati have been assigned with such privilege to be the Headmaster of this school here on. The school on this long runs have achieved many a glory in both academies and co-curricular  activities and shall continue on in future.
