History

The school is located in the lap of serene hillock .Superbly situated in a place where from almost the entire horizon can be clearly viewed .The place popularly known as 'Sangaytar' has its own scenic beauty .The evergreen conical fir trees on the north east side of the school building adds to its glamour .On the whole , the school is situated in an ideal and unique place .At the beginning , ther was a common school for the boys and girls in Pokhriabong Busty .At that time , a group of educated people felt the need for a separate girl's school in the valley .So, in 1971 they formed a committee .The President was Lt. Tara Chand Periwal and the Secretary was Lt. N.B. Bharatee (Ex. Head Master Pokhriabongf Boys' High School).
