History

Near about 1960, Boalmari and its adjacent area was an interior place of Jalpaiguri district. People of this area were very poor and depended on Agriculture for their livelihood. After passing primary School’s exam, the guardians could not afford further education as there was no such Jr. High or High School in Boalmari area. In this circumstance, few local persons who were interested for education, deeply felt the need of establishing a Jr. High or High School in Boalmari.

Then kachua Boalmari Jr. High School started its journey with two tin-shaded room. Masiruddin Sarkar, Satish Ch. Sarkar and many others were behind creating this institution . Masiruddin Sarkar donated the land for this Institution. Finally in 1960 Kachua Boalmari Jr. High School was established as 2- class Jr. High and 1966 it was approved as a High School. Jogesh Ch. Roy Sharma was the founder Headmaster of this School.
