School History: Our beloved Lataguri H S School. is one of the oldest School in this area of the Jalpaiguri District. The School was established on 2nd January,1947 by the education lovers of Lataguri and adjucent area. The Land doners are honourable Late Laxmikanta Roy of Jalpesh and Late Kunjabehari Gope of Lataguri Mouja. The then Timber marcent association and Some rich Lataguri ons had active participation in the establishment and development of our School.The Headmasters are Late Kaminimohan Roy, Late Birendranath Sarkar, Late Nadiendu Goswami, Late Paresh Sen, Sanjit Chowdhury, Krishnapada Kundu respectively, so fare I recalled.The Present Headmaster Sri Gopal Chandra Das, is one of the ex-Students of this School.The Previous Secretaris as per my Knowledge are Late Ajit Ghosh, Late Anil Ganguly, Late Dr. Haridas Saha, Jagadish ch. Biswas, Bablu Kar, Siddhimohan Sarkar, Kailash Roy. Many Students who Studied in this School from the very begining are established in different field in our Country and abroad.
