History

Originally established to address the needs of the neighbouring tea gardens and timber depots, Oodlabri South BFP School has played a pioneering role in a far flung corner of the Dooars where very few institutions existed to freely impart the 3R's (Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic). Since its establishment in 1939, many other institutions have come forward to promote education among the children of Oodlabari. But Oodlabri South BFP School continues to play its pivotal role in the interest of equitable education which is an urgent need of a developing nation.
