                                                                                     HISTORY OF OUR SCHOOL

Churabhandar Bhel Bhela High school is a state government aided co-educational Higher Secondary School.The school situated in the lap of the nature surrounded by green woods and green corn fields.The school was established in the year 1945 in Bhangarhat village under  MaynagurI Block in Jalpaiguri district.The school was established by the education interested persons of Churabhandar area under the leadership of Mohinimohan Mallick to spread the light of education among the children  as well as the  society .Mohinimohan Mallick and Bagra Roy donated land to establish school.Local people also came forward with necessary help and donated land for school play ground. Name of the school selected as –Churabhandr Bhel Bhela Junior High School .Mohinimohan Mallick was the first secretary and Jogendranath sanyal was the first Headmaster of the school.

        The school Recognised as two class Junior High School in 1955 and  as Four class Junior High in 1970 by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.The school Recognised as Ten class High School in 2000 by WBBSE.Chandan Bhowmick was appointed as Headmaster of the school in 2001.The school Recognised as Higher secondary school in the year 2014 by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.With the financial help of the sarba siksha mission,Jalpaiguri Zillaparishad  ,MPLAD-JALPAIGURI, we  constructed class rooms ,office room,Library room,Laboratory room,Toilets,girls common room and other rooms.With the financial help of MLA-Maynaguri the Boundary wall of the school was made. Now our school is three storied building with 32 rooms. We have our own playground.Computer education started in2015 with the help of I.C.T.organigation.Smart class room is now available in the school.We have vocational stream in our school.Digital class is going on with the help of projector.Three teachers have been appointed for H.S. section.Our school is trying to provide better and advanced education to all of our students.Besides providing education we encourage students in cultural programes  and in Games and sports. In the field of games and sports performance of our students are good.Our students participate in district,state and national leve meet.we also Communicate with the local society to spread the light of modern  education and technology.We also encourage local heritage and Folk  Culture.we try to remove superstition like child marriage,child labour system  etc. from the society.with the pleasant view and cozy atmosphere of the Tarai –Dooars region our school is a reputed institution for education,sports and cultural programe.
