
SCHOOL HISTORY-
Jorepakri Abdul Gani High School is a government sponsored school, situated at the village Jorepakri under Maynaguri block in Jalpaiguri district. this is one of the oldest school of the district. it was established before independence in 1946. This is a friendly, welcoming school where children are happy and enjoy learning. we highly value connection with parents and community. Countless students of this school are established in various grounds of society.
In 1946 , as our country stood on the brink of the Independence Jorepakri Abdul Gani High School was established with the inspiration from late Abdul Gani Saheb,Mahendranath Das,Rahimuddin Ahmed,Matilal Roy , Gurucharan Deb etc. The school having hostel facility started its journey with 150 students. Late Shri Satyendranath Bhattacharya ,the first head master of the school ,devoted his whole life to the development of the school.
The school was sanctioned deficit grant in 1947 due to various shortfalls. The school was granted affiliation to Calcutta University vide memo no:S/822/PT-359 dated:19/07/1946 for the Matriculation Examination for the years 1948 and 1949.
Jorepakri Abdul Gani High School is widely known to be the second oldest school in Maynaguri Block of Jalpaiguri district. The school was promoted to H.S section in 2012.Vocational training facilities are provided by the school. Besides the school contains NSS unit and NIOS Study Center.
Jorepakri Abdul Gani High School (H.S) is a co-educational institution. The school with more than 1400 students from the rural area is running with its own acclaim .
