Jorepakri Junior Basic School is situated in the renowned village named Dakshin Gurudebpur which is located in the Maynaguri block. It is one of the most prestigious institutes in the locality and it was founded in the year 1949 by some local scholars. The riverbank of Teesta and its tributary Koya is located near the school and in it’s southern side there are Jorepakri A.G. High School and the Jorepakri Bazaar.
