A brief history of Sahidgarh High school

Education is the harmonious development of all faculties of man. It aims of improving both the mind and body. So great men in all ages and countries have emphasized the need for education. In the river bed of Jarda Sahidgarh High school was set up in 1965 at Maynaguri in the district of Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.

In 1967 the school was recognised as 2 class Junior High school . The school upgraded as 4 class Junior High school in 1968. The school upgraded as x class High school in 1980. The school came under salary deficit in 1979. The school has been recognised as Higher Secondary school in 2012.

Relentless efforts on the part of the teaching and non teaching staff coupled with their warmth  cooperation have provided a friendly amiable ambience to the school offering the right conditions to students who wish to excel and shine in life. The school is trying to adopt itself to the new way of thinking. The institution is trying hard to set a pedagogic goal that is less hectoring and instructional and more learner facilitating.
