
Jalpaiguri is a city in the Indian State of West Bengal.It is the largest city and Headquarters of the Jalpaiguri District and the divisional headquarters of the region.The city is located on the banks of the Teesta river on the foothills of the Himalayas.The karala river,Nick named the " Thames of Jalpaiguri " flows through the city.The city has been witnessing radical changes along with rapid development especially in the education sector.
IN the heart of this Jalpaiguri city in the Dinbazar area Jalpaiguri Marwari Balika Vidyalaya( Hindi Medium)Higher Secondary is located in ward no.5. It is a upper primary with secondary and higher secondary school in Jalpaiguri municipal area.
The Institution started its journey with the establishment of Junior High in the year 1968.Then the school was upgraded to secondary and later to Higher Secondary level in the year 1986 and 2011 respectively.It is the only Hindi Medium school for girls in the sadar sub-division covering the surrounding area of around 60 Kms.
The Institution was established with the motto of imparting excellence in education to girls who mostly belong to Scheduled castes,Scheduled Tribes & Other Backward class and underprivileged sections of society till date.It is tirelessly striving to promote holistic development of girls who are mostly first generation learners.The students of this Institution have proved their excellence in various fields and achieved success through their active participation in various co-curricular activities like Sports,Dance,Drama,Drawing,Poem writing,Science Exhibitions etc.
