The school has been recognised as Non Govt Aided School w.e.f 01.01.1945. It has been upgraded as Higher Secondary School ( XI & XII) by WBCHSE in 1976.

In 2013 the school has been converted into Govt Sponsored School vide Memo NO : 73/RMSA/SL/5S-264/12 Date : 09-10-2013
