History

Originally a state M.E( Middle English) Scchool first set up and financed by the Erst while Coochbehar govt .Subsequently  converted to a complete Basic school w.e.f.01.04.1960 interms of G.O. NO. 292 Edn(D) dt. 29.01.1960. Again converted to a Junior High School  w.e.f. 01.01.1970.interms of G.O .NO. 432-Edn(S) dt.12.04.1969.and No.1764 Edn (s) 22.08.1969.Recognised as a X class High School w.e.f. 01.01.1973 as peer WEST BENGAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION   Memo no 759/G dt 14.02.1974.  The school came under  graint in aid scheme w.e.f. 01.04.1979 interms  of  G.O. NO. 885 Edn (S) 31.07.79 and D.I (SE) COOCHBEHAR,S memo no 2128(17) 7-18(B)SE dt 18.08.79. Recognised as H.S School w.e.f 2006-07 for two years  vide WEST BENGAL COUNCIL OF HIGHER SECINDARY EDUCATION  memo no. DS(A) SD/370/Recog/06 dt.17.08.2006 .
