History

The school was established in 1932 when Coochbehar was a Prince listed .Late Taraprasad Singha ,A man with great zeal for education donate a piece of land measure one and a half acre and established the school spending money for his purse so that boys and girls of the village could receive elementary education .On this piece of donated land was built Kishamat Dasgram Govt. Primary School.Now it functions under Dinhata III educational Circle in the district of Coochbehar .Though the first class in the school started in a single room having a thatched roof ,it continued to recieve aids from the education Department,Govt. of Westbengal from time to time and flourished into a full fledged Primary school offering lessons to students upto class five in a well established infrustrasture containing five class rooms and a office cum staff room in a two storyed building.There is a good play ground adjecent to the school building.The school was awarded The Nirmal Vidyalaya Puraskar in 2014.Its students are doing extremely well in the games and sports section and other cultural activities since they are trained regularly in this field.
