History

Pirpal Sitai Indira Gandhi 5Th Plan Primary School was managed as an organized school from 1970 to 1973. Later in 1973 this school was recognized as a Government Primary School through the efforts of Sri Annadamohan Roy, a neighbour of the school. Those who played an important role in the establishment of the school were Sri Sushil Barman who donated the land for the School and late Ramesh Chandra Barman and late Jagmohan Barman etc.

     Smt. Bina Ghosh was the first Head-Mistress of this institution and Sri Swapan Das and Smt. Basona Sarkar were the Assistant Teachers of the school.
