History

Balapukuri Govt. Pry School was established before independence in 1932. It is in the Dhalpal - II G.P under Tufanganj Subdivision. It is one of the best oldest Primary schools in the subdivision. The name Balapukuri is derived from the name of the village Balapukuri. Late Kalicharan Mandal donated the land for the establishment of the school. The school was established with cooperation effort of the honourable people of the area. It started its journey with a single cottage. Now it is well constructed and planned. It is situated by the road side of Dutta para to Natabari road. The school os 6 km away from tufanganj subdivision. It has a leading role in spreading education in the villages like Balapukuri, Jaigir Chilakhana - II and Chhalapak. The children of those villages come to study here and to learn. The keep the school like a temple of knowledge of education.
