History

Ghogarkuthi 5th Plan Primary School was started in 1980 in a temporary room at the Deocharai More area. Later the school shifted and permanently settled at the predent place of Haribari. A hut was built  with Bamboo and Chhan by the help of villagers for schooling. Smt. Kanaklata Basak was the first Teacher-in-Charge of the school and after few days Sri Dulal Chandra Dey joined as an Asstt. Teacher. The land on which the school is now situated was the property of Sri Rangbar Sarkar and Late Brindeswar Barman. After few years Sri Nepal Chandra Saha joined as Head Teacher. After his retirement Sri Gopal Chandra Bhattachariya had joined as Head Teacher. In these years a pucca classroom was built at the south side of the school. After few years another pucca classroom was built at the east side of the school. After his retirement Sri Dulal Chandra Dey took charge for few years. In 2007 Sri Santosh Kumar Sarkar joined as Head Teacher. In his tenure the roadside Boundary Wall, Toilet, Kitchen Room were built. After retirement of Sri Santosh Kumar Sarkar in 2014, Smt. Sujata Sarkar took charge of the school for sometime. In September, 2016 Smt. Sujata Sarkar transferred to another school. In the mean time Sri Bipul Kumar Sarkar took the charge of the school for few days. In October, 2016 Sri Kalyan Das had joined as Head Teacher. In 2017-18 the school has been renovated thoroughly. Moreover the Asstt. Teachers who have taught in this school in different times are Smt. Usha Sarkar, Sri Manindranath Sarkar, Sri Adhir Chandra Das, Sri Sushanta Das, Abdul Rahman.
