Nagururhat High School(H.S.) is located at   Tufanganj Block-2 of Coochbehar district.The school was set up in 1st january 1966 against the scenic beauty of an all-weather-charming 'sal bagan'(sal forest),just sprawling over the boundary of school's lash green playground.50 yrs ago, when the area was partly covered with forest and wildlife was not rare,a few hamlets were scattered here and there,at that time, 'a few good men' felt an urge to set up a school for their siblings.The founder secretary of our School is Mr.Nibaran Ch. Sen.Since then, the school has been spreading education throughout the locality.As there is no other scope of recreation around the corner, local people are emotionally involved with the school.On the other hand, the school,with its dedicated staff,take every initiative for social,moral and intellectual upliftmen of its pupils.The school also promises to retain it's honour and dignity in future.
