History

Takoamari High School was established in 2000.It was first recognised as a 4-class Jr. High school by WBBSE vide Memo No.-S/RECOG/2000/384 and dated 20.06.2000. The School was upgraded to secondary School in 2010 vide WBBSE'S Memo No S/Recog/2010/241 and dated 29.11.2010.Subsequently it was upgraded to Higher Secondary School in 2018 vide WBCHSE's Memo No. DS(Aca)SD/0159/RECOG/2018 and dated 13.06.2018. In Higher Secondary level the school teaches only Arts Stream.The first Headmaster's name is Ashutosh Paul.
