The history of the school dates back to the period of the historical royal family of Coochbehar . The present area of the school was once covererd with enormously dense forest allowing a very little light to enter through the canopy of the green leaves.The kings of the Royal families known as 'Maharajas' used to visit to the areas for hunting purposes. At the time of the famous rituals of 'POUSH SANKRANTI' they used to come with the Royal soldiers and used to stay there for a few nights for hunting and recreation purposes . In course of time, the then Maharaja thought of initiating educational reforms and henceforth establishing an educational institutions. As a result, the school was established in the year of 1925 due to the efforts of the Maharajas.
Slowly and gradually, the local people involved themselves in the process and began to inculcate their humble efforts . Initially the Institution being set up in the bank of the Raidhak river and having met with severe and consecutive floods , was shifted to the present location in the 1980's .The land for the establishment was donated by Late Rishikesh Sarkar whose name cannot be forgotten. Late Rishikesh Sarkar took charge as the first head of the institution and started rolling the school smoothly. consecutive evolutionary effects and a diverse struggle had been witnessed to glorify itself to the scale of an ideal educational institution of the primary level.
