History

Boxirhat Jr Basic School has a glorious past of its own. At  present it is situated in the heart of Bakshirhat Bazar. Once , more than 500 students and 13 teaching staff were in the school. I feel very fortunate my self to drow a little curve of long journey of the biggest school under undivided Boxirhat circle. Sourc say that Lt. Wrishikesh Pramanik started the school first in the year 1935 in the little space of Bakshirhat Branch post office by giving free service . In the year 1937 SI of Schools TFG visited the school and arranged ₹ 3.00 per month for Mr. Pramanik. Lt Balchand Agarwalla, Dr. Ashutosh Ghosh, Aswini Acharya, khidir Mamood and some other interested person deeply requested to Mr. Pramanik to give him free service for boys and girls of the area. In1949, the school transfered to the present place. Gradually it became jr. high to high and higher Secondary School at present which has given birth to many genious scholar who are now established in their own field of placement so far.
