History

A well known Debendranath R. R. Primary School is situated at 1 No Kalighat Road, Guriahati I G. P. of Cooch Behar District. This school established at 1948. Late Deben Mukherjee donated land for school. Jatindra nath Guha, Harish Chandra Bhaduri, Putul Sengupta and Naresh Sarkar were main organiser. Today they are no more but the way of teaching of this school is started from their ideal work and it started in the raw tin shedded room. One day the school house was broke down by a heavy thunder storm. The a new building was built by Hudney Saheb. In 1951 the school was recognised by the West Bengal Government of India. Gopal Barman, Bhabendra nath Das, Nagen Guha, Sudharani Guha and Jiten Debnath were the first students who were read in the school. These names are collected from the school's area. From then to until today many students achieved success to read in the school and now the school is running with fame.
