Dhaluabari High School is located about six and a half kilometres away from Coochbehar town, south of Coochbehar-Dinhata road and next to Coochbehar 1 B.D.O office. The school is like a serious meditated silent sage in a calm and soothing environment amidst the pleasant green nature.
It is seen from age to age that there are a few people who make a mark in the society by virtue of their profound thoughts, foresight, undaunted mentality and strong perseverance. One such pioneer was late Shekh Dayal Mohammad Miah, a retired government school inspector and educationist whose long-cherished dream was to establish a school in his village Dhaluabari. After his death, his two widows came forward to fulfil his dream by registering a deed of gift of land in the name of Dhaluabari school on 13/6/1967.
Like most private schools, Dhaluabari High School was also founded with the efforts and financial support of the education-loving people. The ad-hoc committee decided to start the process of admission of students from 9/1/1969. But since the school did not have its own home, the work of junior high school was managed from Dhaluabari Govt. Primary School. The school was later relocated to its own building on January 23rd, 1970, with the voluntary and financial support of the people of the area. On January 1st, 1974 Dhaluabari Junior High School was approved by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education as a high school and in the year 2000 Dhaluabari High School was approved by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education as a Higher Secondary School.
Dhaluabari High School celebrated its 25th anniversary in January 1994 with a jubilant Silver Jubilee celebration and In 2019 the school marked its existence by celebrating the golden jubilee with a year-long cultural, social, and various activities.
