History

The institution was set up in the year of 1968 near the market area under the supervision of Mr. Manibhushan Roy, the first Headmaster of Kholta High school with few staffs, students in a hut. Few years later for better infrastructure the school campus was shifted in present location, right bank of the river Alikumari. It was possible with kindness of Late Rabikanta Roy, the Land donor of the institution.  In that time the institution served the pupil with some semi-pucca rooms. The school got recognition by the WBBSE in the year of 1974.

In 1993 a devastating flood hit the entire area and the institution became ruined. The present building and its accommodation was reconstructed by Mr. Adhir Ch. Roy, the second Headmaster of this institution (from 1994 - 2015). The institution was upgraded to Higher Secondary in 2001. Few years later Midday Meal was introduced. School Library was started in the year of 2010 as well with over 2000 books.  Many of the student oriented Govt. project like Kanyashree, Sabooj Sathi etc. was smoothly implemented by Mr. Ranjan Kumar Bhattacharjee (TIC, from 2015-2019).

Now Mr. Rajdeep Dey Roy has taken charges as a Present Headmaster of this institution in 2019. An open stage namely ‘Rabikanta Mukta Mancha’ recently inaugurated by Mr. Partha Pratim Roy (Ex.MP). From the date of journey, the institution committed to provide the best learning environment.
