History

Gangdhar is a village under the Bhawairthana G.P of Sitalkhuchi block in Coochbehar district. In 1965 , the school was started without official approval by some well-persons individuals of the society. Land donor Sri Rajen Barman and housedonor Sri Pishuram Barman. The school was started with two organised teacher including 65 students. In 1967 , the school was officially established as Gangdhar Free Primary School. Anil Nandi was appointed as the teacher. Later in 1985 , the school was renamed New Gangdhar Primary School. Later in 1996 , the Gangdhar Special Cadre Primary School was renamed.
