History

                        Baramaricha Delwar Hossain High School(H.S) is a Co-Educational Higher Secondary Govt sponcered school located at the farthest corner of Coochbehar district under Sitalkuchi development block. It was established in the year 1872 during the Coochbehar state regime. By origin it was one of the state M.E. school named maricha M.e school & subsequently converted into a complete Basic School w.e.f 01/04/1960. Again it was converted into a Jr. High School w.e.f 01/01/1970. It was recognised as a High School w.e.f 01/01/1984. The name of the school from Maricha High School to Baramaricha Delwar Hossain High School(H.S.) in the memory of the first Head Master Late Delwar Hossain. The school was upgraded to a higher seconday school in the accademic session 2004-2005.
