Kushiarbari Haleswar High School is an outcome of a quiet educational revolution initiated in the post independence era by the local intellectuals of the area. It was established in 1968 CE in the village of Kushiarbariwithin Mathabhanga II region to impart higher studies. After setting up the school, students of not only village but of entire region obtained the opportunity of higher studies with hostel facilities as there was no High School in the region at that time. Starting from fifth standard, students are able to study up to twelfth standard in this school today.

In addition to a rich heritage of a good teaching environment and ideal teachers, the school has a large number of Interdisciplinary Subjects today. In the present age, the subjects and classes are divided and subdivided into smaller units that cris-cross and mix together to form new interdisciplinary ideas. Extracurricular activities are also been initiated along with the main course and close association of members of different associations has facilitated them to take full advantage of this effect. Hence the students are allowed to study independently by choosing the subject of their choice. Along with a magnificent playground we have sufficient classrooms, drinking water, mid-day meal hall, well furnished computer lab, a library, two well maintained gardens, well equipped gymnasium and every possible sports material for the students.
