History

In 1947, at the beginning of the glorious year of independence, Mathabhanga Girls' High School started walking. Then after eight long years in 1953, this school got official recognition. From the birth of Mathabhanga Girls High School, those who have been closely associated with the school and for whom this school has become the best girls school in Mathabhanga today are  Sri Khitish Nag, Presh ch Sengupta, Prafulla ch Roy, Adhir Dhar, Bhabesh ch Ghosh, Anil Kr Roy Moulick, Bijay Krishna Bhattacharya, Jyoti Ranjan Guha Thakurata, Anil Kr Das, Dakshina Charan Chakraborty and Sudhir Kr Saha. This school was upgraded to higher secondary level in 1985 and started teaching science at the higher secondary level from 1990. Today 73 years old Mathabhanga girls' high school has become suitable for the present time due to the efforts of the people of Mathabhanga, the tireless work of the Management Committee, and the teachers and education staff.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    We hope that one-day Mathabhanga Girls' High School, a pioneer in women education in Mathabhanga Subdivision will occupy a significant place in the education Map of West Bengal.
