Ramganj High School (H.S.)

Ramganj, Islampur, Uttar Dinajpur started as jr. High school (class V -VIII) in 1958.Recognised as jr. High School by DI/S(SE), W/Dinajpur vide memo no. 1403/G dt. 11/06/1959 w.e.f  01.07.1959.Received first grant in Aid for jr. High School vide DI/S(SE), W/Dinajpur memo no. 4043/G dt. 18/12/1959 in continuation of the memo no. 2954(95)G dt 18/09/1959.

Donor of the land for the establishment of the school was Late Khagendranath Mandal . First head master (head of the institution) of Ramganj High School (jr.) was Lt. Amiya Joyardar.He was the first permanent  headmaster. First clerk of the school was Lt. Ajit Sarkar. First committee members were –

4.Dr. Kalu

 The school upgraded as (class-x )High school by WBBSE vide letter no. 5003/G dt. 17.03.1961 w.ef 1st March 1961for 2 years, and got its recognition as till for order vide letter no. OR/63-3865/G dt, 18.02.1963 wef 01.01.1963.

Upgraded to the status of xi class high school with Humanities course w.e.f 01.01.1967 vide letter no. 16246/G dt. 23.06.1967.Got permission to teach science under H.S curriculum w.e.f 01.01.1970 vide BOARD’s letter no. 4842/G dt. 27.07.1971.

  Comes under   salary deficit scheme in the year 1972 w.e.f 1st May 1972 vide G/O No: 343/Edn-(S)dt 03.03.1973.

  The school has got recognition for imparting H.S education in General Stream Course by WBCHSE vide letter No. DS(A) SD/154(17)/Recog/95 dt 18.10.1995 wef 19-96 section.

The school has got recognition for imparting H.S Education in general stream and science stream up to 30.06.2021.

School comes under government sponsorship vide memo no. :950-UD-28/SE/S/10M-97/14 of SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, Bikash Bhawan , kolkata -91,dated - 27/11/2014 .
