History

The Mataish Junior Basic School was built in 1954 on land donated by a local dignitary to spread rural education.

Before becoming a basic school, the teachers' quarters were on one side of the school boundary. There is a large playground in front of the school and the school grounds are surrounded by various trees.

Mataish Junior Basic School is currently moving forward with the cooperation of all the 4 teachers with 137 students with the vow to make the students socially useful through various education not only biblical studies.
