History

                       Kokil is a developing village in Pundari Gram Panchayat under Harirampur Block in Dakshin Dinajpur , West Bengal.Till 1962 there was no light of academic education flourished.For academic education students had to go a long way on foot. At that time some village people had felt to establish a school in their locality.For this great purpose some villagers had donated their land for establishing the school. In 1962 with the help and co-operation of village people the school started its journey with two little mud-walled rooms and a few students.

                       But at present it has two  building where four running class rooms and one office room belong. Apart from this there is a kitchen room for cooking mid-day meal and a open dinning hall for students to eat their meal together .It has seperate toilets and latrines  for boys ,girls and teachers . And a playground is there for children to play . Now the school compound is enclosed with concrete boundary wall.

                       Kokil  F. P. School is conducted by DPSC Dakshin Dinajpur and WBBPE , West Bengal Government. It has been spreading the light of education among the children since 1962. Now it is one of the reputed school in the district of Dakshin Dinajpur.

                       Recently in 2012 , the Golden Jublee of Kokil F.P. School was celebrated by the teachers , parents , villagers , present students and ex-students.This school successfully has made many bright students who are established in the society.
