Dangram Iswar Chandra Chowdhury High School(H.S.) is established in the year - 1955 by the following founder member viz.

1.Late Jotindra Mohan Chowdhury

2.Late Satyendra Mohan Chowdhury

3.Late Jitendra Mohan Chowdhury

4.Late Bijay Ratan Chowdhury

5.Late Ram Kinkar Chowdhury

6.Late Ajay Kumar Chowdhury

                  In the name of their fore father Late Iswar Chandra Chowdhury; the school is situated at the remotest corrner of the district,covering a few areas of Dakshin Dinajpur,Uttar Dinajpur, and Malda District.

                    This is recognized as 2-Class Junior High School w.e.f.-01.04.1958 vide Memo No. 2675/G dt.-18.11.1958 and 4-Class Junior High School w.e.f.-01.01.1974 vide G.O. No.-521/Jr dt- 09.08.1974.

                        The school upgraded toX-Class w.e.f.- 01.01.1982 vide G.O.No.-S/334 dt- 26.04.1982 and XII-Class High School w.e.f.-2003-03 vide order no- DS/A/50/289/Recog/02 dt- 13.08.2002.

Presently it is a Govt.Sponsored School vide Notification No- 8038/RMSA/SL/55-264/12 dated- 30.09.2013 and memo no- 63(40)/RMSA dated- 26.11.2014.
