History

After Independance there was a need for school colleges in our district like other parts of bengal .In this process some schools were set up called organising school with the help of local generous people.They helped to built the school with temporary structure in donated lands.Local interested educated people were teachers then.In this process like other schools in our town some eminent generous people  like Sudhir Choudhury, Gopal Mohanta, Atul Chakraborty, Kamini Mohanta, Taran Ch. Mohanta, Sudhindranath Goswami, Herema Ch. Chatterjee, Sankar Chakrobarty, Ramen Chakrobarty helped financially and gave their voluntary service as teacher. In 1966 on 1st January the school was affiliated by the Govt. of WB. with the name Taran Chandra High School who is the donor of the land
