History

Madnahar Jr High School is a rural based New Set-up Junior High School which was established in 2010. It is recognised by WBBSED vide Recognition No. S/Recog/2009/N-688; Dated: 07-08-2009. There was no school building as well as no separate premises when in August 2010 Mr. Basudeb Chakraborty, Mr. Sumal Mistri & Mr. Mithun Basak had been appointed as Assistant Teacher in this school. So, initially, our three teachers ran this newly set-up institution in the premises of Madnahar Primary School & used its classrooms as well.

Majharul Islam, the Head Teacher of Madnahar Primary School, along with his all other Assistant Teachers helped & encouraged us very much so that we faced no issues to run the newly set-up school properly.

We started our journey with 35 students who were admitted in class V in August, 2010. As they were mostly dropped-out students we had to door to door regular visit & to convince their parents to get them back on the pathway to mainstream education system. Those early days were very much challenging for us as there laid some major issues regarding land where the school building was to be built. But, at the same time, we got heartfelt support from many local well-wishers as well as educationoists.
