History

Sabalpur is a village under Barwan police station in murshidabad district. In early days most People in our village were below the poverty line. Almost all of them were belonged to either farmer or labour category. Finally two respected teacher Sir Biswanath Mondal and Sir Naba Kumar Ghosh realized that Education is the best way overcome this poverty and it will be the key to success. But at that time there was no school in our nearby locality. It was very difficult to attend school, especially for girls. So, the two teachers completely dedicated themselves to enlight the whole village with the power of Education. Each and every villager also helped as much as they can. With the help of the local people and after a hard work they successfully established a Toll/ Pathsala for the pupils. And the best thing is our school was also fully opened for girls at that time.  And after a long journey in 1966 The Govt. of West Bengal approved and recognised our school as a Government School.
